- The department also works for the knowledge of the herbs, minerals and their preparations with respect to their identification, manufacturing, mode of action of drug, quality control and standardizations etc.
- Students are taught how to identify the drugs, how to use them, their Pharmacodynamics, Phamaco-kinetics and medicinal uses.
- Manufacturing of therapeutic preparations for the market use are also being taught to the students.
- The spacious department is fully equipped with museum which displays the informative charts, the machines required for the preparations and standardization process. The Herbal Garden is being cultivated with a number of ayurvedic plants for the knowledge and benefit of the students.
